The Tors Garden will be open to the public on Sunday 28th July 2024 from 1:30pm.
An award winning Victorian garden of just over one acre with a secret woodland garden to the side and an orchard leading off to a wild area at the rear of the house. Many unusual maple trees, hydrangeas and rhododendrons are the main interest of this garden and two fine avenues of Chinese paperbark maples are especially noteworthy. Featured on the ‘Beechgrove Garden’ for autumn colour in September 2010, but the best time to see this garden is at the end of July or the beginning of August. The Scotland on Sunday featured the house and garden in an article with many lovely photographs in September 2015. Also featured in Edinburgh Life in October 2020.
